PRO DANCE VIENNA

Professional dancers need a range of easily accessable and affordable training, in order to be able to pursue their profession. Since autumn 2020 we have been focussing on the training situation for professional dancers in Vienna, which has been evaluated as insufficient by the scene for many years. Especially since the beginning of the COVID19 crisis, the desire of the Viennese dance and performance scene for an additional training structure for professional dancers has become increasingly loud and can no longer be ignored

We are therefore even more pleased that we could start our pro training program PRO DANCE VIENNA in February 2022. With PRO DANCE VIENNA we have connected our previous work with the Tanzpunkt-Training organized by Corina Hoser already since 2020. Our broad offer targets mainly professional dancers and dance educators with contemporary approach, who need daily physical training as part of their every day working life and as a means to continuously develop their skills further. Nevertheless, also hobby dancers on an advanced/professional level are more than welcome.

Our goal is to develop a long-term structure that covers the needs of as many dancers as possible with a wide range of offers and that is managed according to the needs of the scene. It is important for us that the development phase is based on exchange with the various groups of the Viennese dance and performance scene, on listening and on communication on equal terms. We are looking forward to experiment, interrelate and practice together and are always open for feedback and ideas.

We aim for a structure,  

• which provides space for the dance and performance scene to grow, where it feels comfortable and can develop an identity.
• where exchange between the different groups within the scene can take place and enrich it.
• which reflects the diversity of the dance scene.
• where the dance community is strengthened.
