Katrin Blantar - "Freestyle" based Danceforms
Der Fokus in dieser Tanz-Einheit richtet sich auf „Freestyle“- basierte Tanzformen und ihre Einbettung in Afro-Diasporische Bewegungs- und Kunstformen. Die kulturellen und sozialen Aspekte dieser Tanzformen werden sowohl durch Kontextualisierung , die Auseinandersetzung mit der Musik als auch durch ein aktiven tänzerischen Austausches hervorgehoben.
Es werden Einblicke in diverse Grundkonzepte von „Freestyle“-basierten Tanzformen vermittelt und Gestaltungsräume für eigene Kreationen und Variationen eröffnet. Fokus auf rhythmische Übungen, Körperisolationen und Improvisations-Tasks.
Zielgruppe: Für alle, die sich gerne tänzerisch mit der Musik verbinden.
The focus in this dance unit is on "Freestyle" based dance forms and their embedding in Afro-Diasporic movement and art forms. The cultural and social aspects of these dance forms will be emphasized through contextualization, engagement with music, and active dance exchange.
Insights into various basic concepts of "freestyle"-based dance forms will be provided and scope for own creations and variations will be opened. Focus on rhythmic exercises, body isolations and improvisation tasks.
Target group: For all who like to connect with the music through dance.
Katrin Blantar ist in Wien schaffende Performerin, Vermittlerin und Choreografin. Es ist ihr ein Anliegen, Musik und Tanz mit kultur- und sozialanthropologischen und ethnomusikologischen Ansätzen zu verbinden, um soziale und kulturelle Dimensionen in künstlerische Projekte hervor zu heben. Ihr Fokus liegt auf kollektiven Performances, diskursive Praktiken und interdisziplinärer Projektarbeit. Im Jahre 2021 initiierte Katrin Blantar die Gründung des „The Here & Now Collective“ Vienna. Eine Plattform für Künstler*innen aus unterschiedlichen Sparten, um an künstlerischen, interdisziplinären Projekten mit „Community-Building“-Fokus zu arbeiten.
Katrin Blantar is a Vienna-based performer, mediator and choreographer. She is interested in combining music and dance with cultural and social anthropological and ethnomusicological approaches in order to highlight social and cultural dimensions in artistic projects. Her focus is on collective performances, discursive practices and interdisciplinary project work. In 2021 Katrin Blantar initiated the foundation of "The Here & Now Collective" Vienna. A platform for artists from different disciplines to work on artistic, interdisciplinary projects with a "community-building" focus.
