Alain Michigan - Modern Horton
In dieser Klasse werden die Grundlagen der Horton-Technik vermittelt.
Der Kurs besteht aus Übungen zur Dehnung und Stärkung verschiedener Körperbereiche. Viele der Übungen für Anfänger, Mittelstufe, Fortgeschrittene oder Profis, die unterrichtet werden, umfassen Flatbacks, Plies, Squats, seitliche Dehnungen, Schwünge, Beinschwünge, tiefe Ausfallschritte und T-Positionen. In der letzten halben Stunde wird eine Kombination unterrichtet, die auf dem Niveau der Klasse an diesem Tag basiert, um
an
Musikalität und Dynamik zu arbeiten und diese weiterzuentwickeln. Jede Klasse basiert auf den grundlegenden Horton-Techniken, wird jedoch an das Niveau der
Teilnehmer*innen bzw.
das an diesem Tag unterrichtete Niveau angepasst.
In this class, students will learn the basic fundamentals of the Horton technique, the foundation.
The class will consist of studies to stretch and strengthen different areas of the body. Many of the beginner, intermediate, advance or professional level studies which are taught will include flat backs, primitive squat, lateral stretches, release swings, leg swings, deep lunges, and T positions. In the last 30 minutes a combination based of the level of the class given that day, will be taught to work on or develop musicality and dynamics. Each class is based on basic Horton tech but will be adapted to the level of the students or level taught that day.
Alain Michigan hat als Tänzer für internationalen Tanz-Compagnien gearbeitet und Tourneen in diversen europäische Ländern und
in
Martinique gemacht.
Dabei konnte er ein weites Erfahrungsspektrum
für seine Tätigkeit
als Tanzdozent in öffentlichen und privaten Tanzinstitutionen in Frankreich, Deutschland, Griechenland und Österreich
sammeln.
Es
erlaubte
ihm, sein eigenes Lernkonzept, sowohl für professionelle als auch für
Amateur-Tänzer*innen,
zu entwickeln. Von 2007 bis 2011 unterrichtete Alain Modern Dance für die 04. - 08.
Klasse
der
Ballettschule der
Wiener Staatsoper.
Im Rahmen dieser Tätigkeit kreierte er auch Choreografien für die
jährliche Abschlussaufführung. „3 Little Stories“ zum Beispiel wurde auch im Modern Dance Centre von Györ aufgeführt. Gleichzeitig hat Alain Tanzstudent*innen für internationalen Tanzwettbewerbe wie das Bolzano Dance Festival vorbereitet.
Alain Michigan worked as a dancer for international dance companies and toured in various European countries and Martinique. This gave
him a wide range of experience
for his work
as a dance teacher in public and private dance institutions in France, Germany, Greece and Austria.
It allowed
him to develop
his
own
teaching concept, both for professional and amateur dancers. From 2007 to 2011
Alain
held the position of Modern Dance teacher (level 4 - 8) at the Vienna State Opera Ballet School. During this time
he
also
created choreographies for the annual school
performance. "3 Little Stories", for example, was also performed at the Modern Dance Centre of Györ. At the same time
he
prepared (choreograph, rehearse and coach) dance students for international dance competitions like the Bolzano Dance Festival.
