Viktor Shekhovtsov erhielt seine Ausbildung an der Bolschoi Ballettschule. Als langjähriger Solotänzer am Moskauer Staatsballett war er u.a. als Tybalt in Romeo und Julia, als Rotbart in Schwanensee, als Toreador und Sancho Pansa in Don Quichote, sowie als Solist in Nussknacker, Raymonda und Le sacre du printemps zu sehen. Weiters tanzte er in Choreographien von Maurice Bejart, Pierre Lacotte und Roland Petit sowie in zahlreichen Aufführungen aus dem modernen und Charaktertanzrepertoire. 1995 - 2010 war er Lehrer für klassischen und historischen Tanz an der Ballettschule der Wiener Staatsoper. 2001 - 2011 leitete er gemeinsam mit Nadja Puttner das Tanz- und Ballettstudio an der Wien.

Viktor Shekhovtsov received his training at the Bolshoi Ballet School. As a long-standing principal dancer at the Moscow Classical Ballet, he appeared as Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, as Rothbart in Swan Lake, as Toreador and Sancho Panza in Don Quixote, and as a soloist in Nutcracker, Raymonda and Le sacre du printemps. He has also danced in choreographies by Maurice Bejart, Pierre Lacotte and Roland Petit as well as in numerous performances from the modern and character dance repertoire. 1995 - 2010 he was a teacher of classical and historical dance at the ballet school of the Vienna State Opera. From 2001 to 2011, he co-directed the Tanz- und Ballettstudio an der Wien together with Nadja Puttner.
