Der Unterricht der zwar physisch anspruchsvoll aber trotzdem offen ist, dient nicht nur einem Warm Up, sondern auch dazu, einen Einblick in künstlerische Prozesse zu erlangen.
Die Klasse ist stark geprägt von meinem choreographischen Bewegungsmaterial.

Gesten, Bewegungsmotivationen, kreative Umsetzungen von Abfolgen sind mir wichtig.

Technik dient dazu, Bewegungen so auszuführen, wie wir es möchten. 

Je eigenwilliger das Material, um so mehr müssen wir lernen, seine Mechanik zu verstehen und intuitiv Lösungen zu finden.Ich wünsche mir, dies mit Leichtigkeit zu vermitteln.

Wir werden viel Zeit mit „Boden“ verbringen -  da sollten schon Vorkenntnisse vorhanden sein.  Natürlich arbeiten wir auch an Sequenzen im Stehen und raumgreifend.

The class, which is physically demanding but still open, serves not only as a warm up but also to gain insight into artistic processes.

The class is strongly influenced by my choreographic movement material. Gestures, movement motivations, creative implementations of sequences are important to me. Technique is used to execute movements the way we want. 

The more idiosyncratic the material, the more we have to learn to understand its mechanics and find intuitive solutions. I hope to convey this with ease.

We will spend a lot of time with "floor" - there should already be previous knowledge. Of course we will also work on sequences in standing and moving into space.

Leonie Wahl lebt als Tänzerin und Choreografin in Wien. Sie studierte Tanz an der Hochschule Heidelberg-Mannheim und an der Rotterdamse Dansacademie. Von 2001 bis 2015 war sie prägendes Mitglied der Tanz Company Gervasi. Im Jahr 2012 gründete sie "orgAnic reVolt". Gemeinsam mit dem bernhard.ensemble entwickelte sie vielbeachtete „Tanz.Schau.Spiel“-Inszenierungen an der Schnittstelle von Tanz, Körpertheater und Sprechtheater. Gleichzeitig tanzt sie bei der Gruppe DANS.KIAS seit 2015 bis heute. 


Leonie Wahl lives and works as a dancer and choreographer in Vienna. After studying dance at the Hochschule Heidelberg-Mannheim and at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie, she was a formative member of the Tanz Company Gervasi from 2001 to 2015. In 2012 she founded orgAnic reVolt. Together with the bernhard.ensemble she developed some highly acclaimed "Tanz.Schau.Spiel" productions at the interface of dance, physical theater and spoken theatre. At the same time, she has been dancing with DANS.KIAS since 2015.
