Daniel Lukehurst ist ein in Großbritannien lebender Choreograf, Komponist und Performer. Er wurde an der Northern School of Contemporary Dance ausgebildet und absolvierte einen MA, der ein Praktikum bei der Company Chameleon einschloss. Er tanzte für die DeLeon Company, Tribe// und die Company Chameleon und komponierte für die Akram Khan Company, Ania Jurek und Gabriella Engdahl.
Als Choreograf arbeitet er sehr körperlich und präsentiert Ideen auf eine geerdete, persönliche Weise. Seit 4 Jahren werden seine sehr körperlichen und durchdachten Arbeiten in ganz Großbritannien aufgeführt, und er hat mit Tänzern in ganz Europa sowohl als Choreograf als auch als Probenleiter gearbeitet. Daniel hat zwei originale Tanzstücke mit eigenen Musikkompositionen uraufgeführt, die beide erfolgreich von ACE finanziert wurden.
Daniel Lukehurst is a choreographer, composer, and performer based in the UK. He trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, also completing an MA that incorporated an apprenticeship with Company Chameleon, and has danced for DeLeon Company, Tribe//, and Company Chameleon, and composed for Akram Khan Company, Ania Jurek, and Gabriella Engdahl.
As a choreographer, he makes work that is highly physical, presenting ideas in a grounded, personal way. For 4 years his highly physical and thoughtful work has been performed across the UK and he has worked with dancers across Europe as both a choreographer and rehearsal director. Daniel had premiered 2 original dance works containing his own music compositions, both works were successfully ACE funded.
