about the class: Shifting Roots AML
Coordination, rhythm, focus and, above all, authenticity in movement will be some of the goals. The principles of movement are taken to a higher, more complex level of coordination of the hands, arms, legs and torso as well as rhythmic changes, weight shifts and dynamic transitions. Embracing the connection to the earth allows us to reach upward to heights, always necessary when our goal is to achieve high performance level dance training.
The repertoire workshop
will offer an opportunity for participants to experience the creative process as directed by Blanka Csasznyi. They will not only work with movement phrases from the Shifting Roots – AML classes, but they will also be asked to collaborate in the creation of movement transitions that will bring together couples, trios, and larger groups to weave together a short choreographic work for and by the participants themselves.
