Andrey Kaidanovskiy - Repertoire - Winter Intensive 25

Andrey Kaydanovskiy is an Austrian choreographer with Russian roots. After graduating from the ballet school of the Vienna State Opera, he joined the Vienna State Ballet in 2007 and was promoted to demi-soloist in 2015. From 2022, Andrey Kaydanovskiy dedicated himself to his choreographic projects. Since his first choreographic work in 2009, he was commissioned by numerous companies to present his works, including the Bolshoi Ballet, the Ballett am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg, the Vienna State Ballet, the Czech National Ballet, Tanz Linz at the Landestheater Linz, and the Bavarian State Ballet (choreographer in residence 2019- 2022). Among his nominations: “The Golden Mask,” the “Prix Benois de la Danse,” and the “Austrian Music Theater Award.” honored as “Best Dance Theatre Performer and Choreographer” (TANZOLYMP 2015) and “German Dance Award 2016”.

In my workshop, I will share my artistic approach. Together, we will explore the various stages of developing a dance piece and examine how these processes shape movement. The workshop will include a repertoire class with insider insights into my creative process.
